Moonbound

What it is

Moonbound turns a telescope-mounted iPhone into a live guide to the Moon. Point it at the eyepiece and it recognizes lunar features in real time, overlaying names and context on top of what you're actually seeing.

Why it exists

As a beginner, it's hard to know what you're actually looking at when you point a telescope at the Moon — craters and maria blur together without context. It's built as a daily observation ritual for beginner astronomers.
